J&S and Hondata w/ P28 on turbo h22 will this work
ok i bought mike's old turbo kit and i wanna know if i get the p28 can i use the J&S and a hondata on a P28 i know the P28 doesnt have knock sensor capability but i have a stock knock sensor on my h22a4 also let it be known this will all be tuned by vaportrail and installed as a complete kit on a stock bottom end hopefully i can have a fairly reliable h22 turbo if this is even possible but i think i am doing the right things to make it reliable can anyone offer some insight or suggestions on anything at all

One question...is it a J&S classic or the version 2?
Either way it will work. I'm using the same setup on my ITR. Right now I'm using a p72, but can also use my p28....i just use the p72 because of the added protection it has. Just tap into the knock sensor wire at the ecu.

it is the J&S classic and what added safety feature does the p72 have over the p28 if you are using j&S? i know the p28 doesnt have a knock sensor so how can i hook up my factory knock sensor to the ecu if the ecu isnt expecting a knock sensor i dont even have a p28 or a p72 yet i am trying to figure out why i should need to waste more money yet in the p72 i am gonna boost so who needs secondary butterflies

With the Hondata you can disable the knock sensor for the p28 so there is no check engine light on. If you are going to use the J&S then you don't need the p72. I just use it because I can. I use them for testing and tuning other cars. Since I'm running 10 psi on my ITR with intake temps over 200 when boosting I like the added knock control...JUST IN CASE.
