Default ITR or aftermarket Valveterain??

I'm trying to figure out which valves, springs and retainers to go with. My engine is apart, bottom end has CP 9.5:1 pistons, and Eagle Rods. Building for a mild boost setup. Goal is 300+ whp.

I plan on using either stock GSR or ITR camshafts. I dont want to rev high, 8200 - 8500 is fine, wherever power stops. I want some type of reliability, so should I stay away from titanium retainers? I've gotten several conflicting answers about this. Some say that Rocket Motorsports, and Supertech make a good reliable valveterain. I've also read that titanium retainers tend to wear quickly.

I understand that there is no initial need unless your using higher lift camshafts. I've read before that ITR valves can be used in a stock GSR head. But if the stem diameter and seat angle are different, how would this work?

What do you guys think? Should I go with all ITR head components? Or go aftermarket? The head is bare right now. Only has new standard valve guides. Buying camshafts is not a problem either. Thanks in advance...
