IS300 Supercharger: how to reduce charge temperature?
This is the setup I have currently. Obviously, in this configuration, there is no way to put an air-air intercooler (without modifying the outlet somehow). How about a liquid-air intercooler? You can't really see it, but on the underside of the elbow just before going into the throttle body, there is a 7th injector that mists fuel into the charge air. Any ideas? Thanks!

That would help.
Can you build some type of cai? It might make a small difference. Nitrous would help too, but don't know if you wanna do that.

Top-mount IC, sheetmetal manifold FTW. 
My buddy want to turbo his IS, but the engine bay is freaking tight. Thats about the only way you can get a good-sized turbo in there, modding the intake mani.

if anyone makes on, Bell Intercoolers makes one. they have over a thousand different sizes of air to air and liquid to air intercoolers in stock. I found one that has a 3" core x 2" wide X 6" long. Now I know thats small but you dont have a lot of space. that core is $90 Ive never used a liquid to Air intercooler before so I dont know much about them. check them out

the other option you have would cost a bit more $$$. Change out the manifold and reroute the charge through a front mount. Do the stock supra manifolds fit IS300? if they do why not switch to one of those? you could prob get one for pretty cheep.

Hmm, that's a good question. The only intake manifolds I've seen are custom units. I'll have to dig around for some answers on that ...
That website looks to be the ticket for that liquid-air intercooler. I wonder how well that fuel-misting injector in the charge pipe works at cooling the air. Perhaps upgrading the main injectors and running water injection through that port would be the easiest choice.

haha, move the throttlebody and intake manifold to the other side, have the throttlebody pointed upwards, then run a top mount intercooler with a hood scoop

Those engine bays are a total clusterfuck. I don't know why anyone tries modding them
Propane injection will be cheap and easy and net you more power as well as more safety. Look it up. You should be able to get a kit anywhere diesel performance **** is peddled

Anyways, I bought the car like that, so I'm just rolling with it I found a place that'll rebuild those powerdyne units and by shimming the impellor closer to the housing, it'll up the boost a little bit. I think it's worth doing, just for longevity of the supercharger. From what I'm reading, the internal bearings and belts are garbage, and with this rebuild, the bearings and the belt get upgraded to handle more revs and higher temps ... so propane ... haven't heard that one in a while

It looks like one of these might fit pretty good.It uses Laminova core tubes and is liquid to air w/low pressure drop.They came with the old Hytech turbo kit and are kind of pricey.Acually I don't even think they sell them anymore but it just an idea.

You can still get the laminova cores...The new supercharged cobalts use them from the factory.
