Intercooler Performances (which is better bar/plate or tube/fin)

I've never figured this out? Which type of intercooer cores work the best? They all seem the same to me. But the tube/fin type looks alot cooler. I like the design better. For all you intercooler fanatics, I'd like to hear your opinions...

bar and fin (had to be the first to say it). There was just a thread not too long ago from Camp1320 (I thought) and Art about this same thing.
