Installed turbokit car running like crap help.....
Ok installed my kit today on my obd-1 jdm b16 it consist of
t3 60trim
rc 550's
walboro 255
xenocron ecu w/basemap
plus all the basics
The car starts up and ran no leaks or nothing..But it idles really low and seems to be smoking a tad..It was hard to keep it running had to keep giving it gas..
Right now the BOV is'nt on it yet doing that tommorow need to get flange welded in..The car is also running a open downpipe..
Also the map sensor that came on the car has 2 screw holes to bolt it down but thier is no where to bolt it to the throttle body..Thier is a nipple off of the top of the TB that has a vacuum line running to the map sensor and the map sensor is just hanging..The thing is thier is no map reader on the bottom of the map sensor its just flat..I was thinking it was the wrong map sensor or TB for the car..
Also we lost 1 of the gromets for the 550's so it leaked then we trimmed a stock 1 in half and finally got it where it would'nt leak..
Also thier is a up shift looking light in my eg hatch that i've never seen on before now it stays on..
Can any of this be my problem or is it my basemap??

Re: (ella94)
Fix all the problems you listed (IE the map sensor) and bov, then get it on a wideband and see what the AFR is and get it tuned. What color is the smoke? Generally black= fuel blue=oil in cc white=coolant in the combustion chamber Or your seals in your turbo could be toast and you could be leaking into the exh. causing smoke.
