Default installed turbo: A/C isn't ice called anymore. wtf?

installed my drag kit and today was a hot day. decided to turn on my A/C and was hit with hot fumes.

sup with that?

what can i do to make it ice cold again besides removing my turbo? wraping my lines with some type of heat resistant wrap? get a colder thermostat?

it was hot a fck today.

vent engine bay, heat treat mani down pipe/dt and exhaust housing on turbo, heat reflecting tape, and **** like that

do you have the proper quantity of refrigerant in the system?

Yeah, it sounds like a malfunction in the system. If the refrigerant is low, the compressor clutch wont kick on. Check to make sure all your connections are good too, and that you didnt blow a fuse. Turn your A/C on and check to see if your compressor clutch is spinning, or your fan is on, if they are you have other issues.

how do you know if the compressor clutch spins or not?

I did just that on my Drag kit a while ago. The vertical AC line was sitting millimeters away from the compressor housing and eventually burned a hole in it.

Turbo + AC = no bueno

However, if you must retain AC, I know a member of HT (Muckman) makes a relocation kit to eliminate that vertical line (for Integras)
