Installed Motorola Map - Horrible failure ensued.
I don't know what the hell went wrong. When I installed it, my idle surged up and down from 1000 - 2000 rpms. My AFR also wavered between 19:1 and 20:1.
I tried to richen it up, but as soon as the AFR hit 17:1 the car died and wouldn't even idle or start any more.
Steps toward trouble-shooting included:
-Verifiying that 5v were supplied to pin 3.
-Verifiying that pin 2 had a solid ground
-Verifying that pin 1 was being fed into the correct ECU pinout.
-Veryfing that there were no vacuum leaks (I put the stock MAP back on and it runs fine).
So what gives? It's definitely hooked up right. I also made sure the 2.5 bar sensor option was selected in Uberdata.

what engine management wherre u using?
did u make any changes to the fuel map to compensate for the totally different MAP, and the totally different readings the ecu will get since the voltage readings are off

Turns out my version of UD (1.7 stable) doesn't have the scripts for the Motorola Map. You need to download the repack version from the uberdata site.
But you also can't open a 1.7 map in the repack, so I'm S.O.L.
Thinking about Crome...

we had crazy issues setting up my first tune on the 2.5 bar...
it was wired right, but the wires crossed (they are so fricken close! ) i had them taped nicely, but the tape got a bit squishy, and they touched. crazy eratic issues, similar to what you just had happend, happened.
splitime (my tuner buddy) had the same thing happen with his 2.5 bar at first startup.
