Innovative DB-2 AFR guage. Any good?

Does this thing display afr constantly as it changes, or does it display afr with a time pause between afr change? Are all afr guages like this?
In other words, does it display a like this:
13.2.....pause......13.7......pause......13.4..... ....pause.......13.1.......pause.......13.8....... .pause......13.5
or does it display afr constantly without time gaps? Like this:
13.2..13.7..13.4..13.1..13.8..13.5

Not to sound like a cheap ***, and since I don't know which item is best, would there happen to be a cheaper/better alternative?
