InlinePro Turbo Manifold & .63 A/R turbine or Max Rev Manifold and .82 A/R turbine?
Alright I have a dilemma here. I currently have an InlinePro exhaust manifold and I love it , the quality on it is great it looks as if it will flow very very well. Well I purchased a Garrett Turbo with 4 bolt discharge specs are compressor 70 A/R 60 trim and Stage 3 turbine .63 A/r housing.... Welll put the turbo on the manifold and it's a no go because the tubine positions the turbo too far to the left and so much block grinding would be necessary to the point of actually being able to see the flywheel , that's not an option even with a spacer it doesnt fit! Well we put a Turbonetics .63 A/R tubrine housing on there.. perfect fir with just a little addtl block grinding. I thought maybe a Turbonetics .82 A/R may work better maybe the way it sets the turbo but I doubt it. Welll the other day I came across a Max Rev manifold and asked to use it to test fir on my spare motor until my block gets back from Golden Eagle, and VOILA the .82 A/R turbine housing and all fir perfect positioning the turbo with compressor side normal to the tranny side.. I know alot of people running a simple Log Style manifold and it works but it is not the very best designed manifold for all out and neither is the InlinePro but it seems better. Should I run the InlinePro and .63 A/R turbine or .82 A/R with a Max Rev?, actually we will be making our own, the Weld Els are easy to find and the flanges are cheap. I am concerned with the all out performance and not so worried about the lag. My set up 2000 Civic Si, 84.5mm Endyn pistons in a Golden Eagle sleeved B16A block, Eagle rods, JG/Edelbrock IM, P&P head, Ferrea 1mm over exhaust valves and .5mm over Intake valves, Holley 68mm TB, Greddy Type 24 IC, I plan on revving to approx 9k to 9200RPM and run between 22-25 psi. Also studying Compressor maps and determining between my current 60 time or go with a 60-1 I have on order. Also the InlinePro will work with the larger turbine A/R by turning the turbo around, compressor on the power steering side but no A/C. This is my most recent plan. ANy help is appreciated.

I can't answer your question but it's look like we have the similiar set up. Anyway this is what i have
b16 GE 84 bored, Je pistons 9:1, Port Flow ferrea package with oversize valves 1mm, eagle rods, balance crank and my goal is to run 450-500. Let me know how it goes. Later

why not a equal length manifold....from ur post it sounds like the problem is the turbo is to close to the block and u dont want to grind as much as u need to make the bigger turbo fit. equal mani will bring the turbo out.
ffgoeff is making some maybe u can ask him.

The MAx Rev or Log Style mani will position it perfect but I am wondering if it is a trade off, I am reading Maximum Boost by Corky Bell and he says the Log Style are simple and work but not the best, then the size of the turbine , forget about lag since the motor is being built for Drag racing, I do drive it on the street but I don't street race anymore. Am I giving up performance with the manifolds, it seems the InlinePro would flow so much better but then I would have to go to a .63 A/R, or turn the .82 around and give up the AC. QUestion is the design of the InlinePro worth giving up the bigger turbine, or the Log Style with .82 a better performer? Decisions decisions.

Actually YES. Especially in the staging lanes! But I need to get serious.

will the 60-1 fit with the inline pro mani
the .63 will flow the HP u trying to make
but the .82 will up the 1/4 mile mph
with that size bore u can get a way with a .82 on a b16 and still be streetable
u got to say do u want a race car or a fast every day driver
u got to new of a car to use for a race car
i took my ac out to fit my down pipe

I can't decided which turbo to get. This is a street/show/race car. Let me know what's work for you so I can jump on it

I have a beater as a daily driver 94 Civic DX Coupe and my tuner wants me to run that, I even have thought about a Hatchy but so many peope are impressed with this being a basically stock looking 00 Civic Si.
