inline pump question..
i been searching and find alot of diff answers.. i was given a inline fuel pump free.. i usually just buy the walbro 255 in tank one but since its free i took it. can i leave my stock pump in the tank and just hook the inline between the fuel filter and rail?? wont the stock pump restrict it?? ill be using zdyne and 450 cc injectors with a 57 trim turbo @ abou 10-15 psi..

Re: inline pump question.. (97grnrs)
yeah the intank will restrict it. it would be like having a 2" downpipe and a 4" exhaust. you don't need an inline for 450cc injectors.
edit: oops sorry i meant intank not inline Modified by Mikey3000 at 9:51 PM 9/25/2007 |
Re: inline pump question.. (Mikey3000)
im not talking about the inline restricting it .. i mean will the stock fuel pump in the tank restrict the output capability of the inline pump up front?

Re: inline pump question.. (97grnrs)
the only thing the pump says is e2315
max psi 125 |
Re: inline pump question.. (97grnrs)
anyone.? so what good is an ext fuel pump if the intank one is gonna restrict it?

Re: inline pump question.. (97grnrs)
your supposed to take the intank out and only use the inline.

Re: inline pump question.. (Mikey3000)
ive seen both ways ppl say so what right? take intank out or leave it in? and anyone know how good the airtex pump is?? it says 125 psi max ?? wil it work for about 15 psi on a 57trim turbo with 450cc injectors?

Re: inline pump question.. (97grnrs)
dude you don't even need an inline for that little boost. and 450cc won't handle 15 psi. you need 750cc and a walboro/holley 255 intank, thats it!

Re: inline pump question.. (Mikey3000)
450 handle that fine.. i used them on my last setup and ran 16 psi daily with no problems.. i just need to know about this fuel pump since i got it free why buy a walbro if i dont need to
