IMW-Tuned: More supercharged fun, with chemical assistant (JRSC + Nitrous)
Hello all,
Just dropping in to post some more supercharged stuff from the IMW camp. We tune a LOT of supercharged K-Series engines here, and it's always fun when someone wants to add nitrous into the mix. Nitrous makes these setups work better, period. It adds volume (read: boost), super-cools the blower, and makes the aftercooler work a ton better.
This particular car featured:
100% stock internal K20A2
Jackson Racing supercharger
3" blower pulley
K24 crank pulley ("Skeletor")
MercRacing aftercooler
MercRacing inlet
Hybrid Racing throttle body (76mm)
3.5" short intake arm
DC Sports race header
IMW-Spec 3" stainless custom exhaust
NOS dry nitrous kit
ID1000 injectors
DW65c fuel pump
Hondata K-Pro
The nitrous jet used was a 0.032 with bottle pressure hovering around 900psi (very cold here in PA lately!).
The numbers were 430whp / 328wtq on nitrous @ 17psi (nitrous added 2psi), 364whp / 243wtq without @ 15psi. It picked up 66whp from a "45hp" nitrous jet.
We left the engagement late for safety, since the engine is already fairly high-strung (over-spun blower, etc).
As always, I'm happy to answer any questions about the setup, so feel free to ask.
Thanks for looking!
