IMW-Fabbed/Tuned: 550+whp stock K20Z1
Recently, we here @ IMW have had the opportunity to work with Synapse Turbo ( www.synapseturbo.com ) in testing their K-Series sidewinder turbo manifold in the Acura RSX chassis. Previously, the manifold was only marketed towards K-Series swaps in older Honda/Acura chassis's.
Our test bed was a user on this forum (and my soon-to-be brother-in-law), SimO.
His car had previously been running around with a GReddy turbo kit, making a hair over 300whp since mid-2008. Over the course of the last two months, he had stockpiled parts to complete the project you see below.
The setup consists of:
100% bone stock K20Z1 engine
RBC intake manifold
Synapse Turbo sidewinder turbo manifold
Precision 6265 turbocharger (.63 AR)
TiAL MV-R 44mm wastegate
IMW-Fabbed 2.5"->3" T304 stainless downpipe
IMW-Fabbed 1.75" T304 stainless dump tube
IMW-Fabbed 2.5" aluminum charge piping
Treadstone vertical-flow intercooler
GReddy blow off valve
Complete fuel return system
DeatschWerks DW300 fuel pump
Injector Dynamics 1,000cc injectors
Aeromotive FPR
Hybrid Racing fuel rail
Hondata K-Pro
E85 fuel
Here's some dyno charts:
553whp / 357wtq @ 16psi
And the boost plots:
We did not rev it any further, as indicated injector duty cycle was at 99% as-is, indicating we were about out of fuel pump. (I have had ID1000's run out at 600whp or so on a different pump combination on E85)

Awesome work as always out of IMW. Im actually heading to IMW in about an hour to have some work done. Its sure nice having such a great shop so close. In for some videos

I took a vid of a few dyno runs from the monitor that I will try and provide later if wanted. D-Rob, maybe another speedo vid? lol.
