Default I'm stuck on what motor to put in....

I really have no clue what I want to do now that I hydrolocked my b16a.
I will be using my gsr head with venom intake manifold on either setup.

I have been running soooo many different options through my mind.

I've thought of

stock:
b16
gsr
ls
ls-v

all could get me around 300whp.

ls the most torque.

b16 cheapest (dont have to re-tune, and everything will swap right over)

gsr probally most expensive because of the demand for a good condition shortblock

Then I started thinking of ls vtec..hassle...but would get decent power.

Then I said, what about pistons/rods/bearings.

Rods would be eagle (cheap) bearings probally oem (maybe acl) and the cheapest pistons i can find. (probally srp or ie or something)

In ANY of these blocks, pistons, rods and bearings would yield 350+ (about what I would leave it at)

So WTF should I do???

I already have a sleeved and FULLY built shortblock, but I am selling it, and don't want to use it. I will be selling the car either way, I just figured I can get a little bit of power from her while I still own it.

Help MEEEEEEE!!!!!

how bad is the b16 block? honestly if you can get it cleaned up with some machine work, since you already havve it spend some loot on pistons and rods, throw it back together and kick some ***.

The block was hydrolocked, he put a rod through the block.

If you're gonna sell the car put a stock LS in there and be done with it, period.

so you were previously running a stock b16 bottem end on stock gsr head? How was that working out? I was thinking of building a 81.5mm stock sleeved b16 to go on my gsr head but i didn't know how the 1.8 liter head would work with the 1.6 liter block. Sorry to change subjects kinda.

same bore size on the heads, so it doesnt make a difference.

compression is the only difference. the gsr head yields .2 pt higher compression than a pr3 head would.

i made 265whp @ 7.5psi and 170wtq with around 10.8 to 11.0 to 1 compression

I have decided on ls vtec. now can't decide wether i should give my motor to greg at GBR tuning for some eagle rods and je pistons!

i already have a sleeved benson b16a, but i am selling it and don't want to put it in. that would be the "right way" to hit a 1.6L hp record
