Well, I went to the track again tonight. Posted some great times.
I wen this past weekend to Cecile county and was hoping to break into the 12's. Well, I could only muster a 13.0.
Went tonight and my first run came up with a 12.9 @ 109. I was almost doing backflips!! Hit a 2.08 60' on that run.
Next run was the best one of the night. I started off with a new best 60' of 2.002 on the Azenis !! Holy **** Ended up running a 12.71 @ 110 I was screaming in amazment coming down the return lane. Im so happy...
The other 2 runs netted me a 12.8 and a 13.0.
I would love to see what some slicks will do for me since I have to shift into 5th about 100 ft before the traps.
As for what there is to improve on:
Running 11 psi on an UNTUNED hondata.
Running test pipe and 2.25" catback.
Running street tires (Azenis) with open diff.
Running FULL INTERIOR---in a heavy 2500+ lb. Si hatch.
Plus other things.

Needles to say Im ecstatic!!!

Thanks all.....I seriously had a stiffy the whole ride home. A quick stop at the girlfriends house helped me out

2-step on the hondata was set at 4000. 330= 5.496. 660= 8.283@88.06

Ive been untuned since the day the turbo was put on. 4/20/02 to be exact. I did however have some help from SqT at one point who massaged the rom a bit, but not even from a tuned car--just a little help in the ignition areas. My understanding is that the ROM is still very, very forgiving. Something like 1.5 degrees retard ign for every 1 psi boost.
Im not gonna dyno it until I build the new motor--hopefully within the next couple of weeks I will start it. I will be tuning for 15+ on the street and 20+ on race gas.

Im happy with them. I think they can almost be labeled as a Drag Radial, its obvious Im well within their territory and just about beating down some 20" slick times. Im also running an open diff too----damn I wonder what a Quaiff would do for these things.

keep up the good work, invest in a z10 traction system if you plan on just running street tires mostly, you wont pop axles from to much wheel hop.

Running 12's like that, your car has a lot more potential. Get your Hondata tuned, run a 3" exhaust with no cat, get those 22" slicks and whoa! 11's here we come!

Nice numbers! Just a question for you though, and anyone else that races on street tires. How do you guys launch and get going in 1st gear? In my experience, as soon as I hit boost in 1st it spins. Do you give it partial throttle through the top of first?

H&R full coilover suspension. Cusco front and rear strut bars. Stock motor mounts all around. Sway bars dont matter for dragging but this is a street car so--stock Si 21mm front sway bar, ITR 22 rear sway

You sir, are the one person that gave me hope that my car could make it to the 12's. When I ran a 13.2 @103 and you have gone 12.7 @ 103 on slicks, that made me shoot for 12.99 on street tires.

Tell us some more about the CE bars. Competition Engineering--is that CE?
Not gonna bother tuning the hondata til I build the motor. 3" exhaust is on the shopping list too. I dont think 22" slicks are gonna do **** for me. Im in need of 24.5" right now. I measured my Azenis and they are about 22.5 or so. Considering I have to shift into 5th I want a taller slick so I can stay in 4th. Hopefully I will have the power to keep the turbo spoolin with those bigass tires though.
Some kind of an LSD is gonna be needed as well.
