im getting -3 on boost guage...running like ***...related?
hooked up the boost/vac guage because my car is running like ***. anyways its reading about -2, -3 on the vacuum guage. i think thats a little low. anyways with my chipped ecu in uberdata it says that at 500rpm at -3.05 in/hg my timing is at 0*. i think this is causing problem because when i check it with my light its at the 0 mark. i jump the connectors under the dash and try to bring it to 16* but i cant turn the dizzy past 13*. and there isnt even a difference in the way its running. reason im posting here is because im doing an ls swap w/ turbo and its bolted up right now with only feed and return oil lines

its at -3.05 in/hg at idle?
if so, then you have a problem. Either the guage isnt hooked up right and you have a vaccum leak causing it to run shitty, or something seriously worse is going on.

Re: (turboengnr)
yeah, well i have no idea. looked everywhere for a vacuum leak. the car runs terrible. and the plugs are all black. anyways i just rebuilt the motor so im guessing its just assemby grease that is made to burn off and some of it is getting on the plugs. yes between -2 and -3 in/hg

Re: (TurboGSR96)
bad chip burn causing your ECU to run in limp mode maybe... i dunno, just a shot in the dark, maybe a busted *** intake manifold gasket.
tell us more about your setup. Motor, specs, what exactly you took apart to rebuild, etc

Re: (tegasaurus)
ok point form. bought a 95 b18b from a smashed car at the savlage yard
-did a light hone
-replaced rings
-cometic headgasket
-arp studs
-using a 92 integra dizzy
-using a po6 converted to p28 chip.
-loaded a stock ls basemap and calibrated the fuelinjectors to 450cc. just changed the injectors size.
- had the oil feed plugged and the return hole in the oil pan open. a little oil splashes out, but its not that bad. does the oil pan need to be pressureized?
-i just put the stock exhaust header on and bolted my axel back muffler to it. i dont have the axels in or anything. just the bare min incase i need to take the motor out again.
-so i turned it on. this is with the stock ls basemap with 450 injectors. i know the wiring is done right because i had this harnes working wiht my turbo b16.
-fired up right away and idled at about 2000 for 10 seconds but it was running really rough. then it drops down to 500 and runs like *** like its only running on 2 or 3 cylinders but ihave spark and fuel at all 4. im thinking its running really rich. which would make sense because the map is only seeing 2in/hg vacuum.
now the weird part is when i put a turbo bin on my ecu it runs a little bit better and sees 16in/hg vacuum. that is only using a differnent chip. not changing anytying
-as for timing, its at about 6* right now. that seems to be where it idles best. the more i retard it or advance it it gets worse. also i cannot advnace it past 13* because my dizzy willnot turn that far
need anymore info let me know.
so what im going to do now is put a whole completely stock exhaust system on and buy a a real honda p75 ecu and run low impedience obd0 240cc injectors so i dont have to take out that resistor box. i think those stock basemaps are messed. i want to see what the real honda ecu will do with timing and fuel. its obvuilsy running really right because my plugs are all wet and if i let it idle long ebough it will die on its own by flooding itself so then i have to crank it a few times with the FI fuse pulled.

Re: (tegasaurus)
yes its the stock basemap but i changed my fuel injector size so the map changed with that. unless im missing something here? i have done this before with my b16 when i was driving around with my 450's in and no turbo yet. is there something else i need to change? all i did was click new fuel injector size and put down 450 and then apply
