:: ignition recommendations :: digital 6 and blaster hvc vs 6a & blaster ss vs stock ::
i was wondering what everyone recommends for turbo ignition setups. in searching the archives i found these setups. which one would be the best for 350whp? i am guessing that the digital 6 setup is a higher end setup, so at what point would you switch from the 6a to the digital 6? thanks.

I heard quite a few bad things about the Digital 6....As far as dependibilty and it being prone to burning out...Im sure someone has some expereince here with that...The regular 6 is like ye old faithful.....thats something you can count on and it will more than support your 350+ whp..

Don't get an SS coil. The ignition boxes are fine but stay away from the SS coil, they don't always fire correctly. And they are prone to malfunctioning.

you dont need it. I and many others have proven all you need is a good functioning STOCK ignition system. Stock right down to the plug wires.

<--- MSd 6BTM with HVC coil. I havent had a single problem in years with this setup. Street and strip. Also as a test to its strength it made over 780 HP on a Mopar I tune.

See I had the SS coil for a year and a half now it works fine....I ran an 11.2 with just that coild and the rest of the ignition was bone stock...
I just think that MSD has a serious problem with quality control...Its not that one product is bad and another is good...Its more like what users have had a good experience with and what they have not...
