I've read along for a while, always without posting anything, but I think someone with some sense needs to say something, so I will.
I have some serious doubts as to the knowledge and qualifications of most the users of this site....I understand the "idea" behind giving people the oppertunity to speak to fellow fast and furious warriors, but honestly, is it not obvious that most of these people have no ******* idea what they are talking about?
If all these people knew how to make a car fast, the Quick 16 would have to be turned into the Quick53.
For everyone looking at buying a turbo kit for the first time, get off the internet, put down the magazine, and go into your local shop and ask to ride in a car they have put together...any good shop will take you for a spin, and if they only offer 1 type of kit, ask them why.
Oh yeah, go **** yourself because I like to.

Like i said, you have some valid points, however, i think you underestimate the knowledge of a lot of people on this site. True, most of the people here do not know how to make a 12 second AllMotor car. Keep in mind, most of the people on this site dont want to make their car into an all out dragster, all out roadracer, they just want to add some spice to their car. Knowing how, and actually doing it can mean two different things....you can know , but dont do, or you can do, and dont know....
Yes i agree, you should take everything you hear with a grain of salt, but not just on the net, in person too.
I have made friends from this site, who are very knowledgeable, which inturn hopfully rubbed off on me over the years, and made me somewhat knowledgeable, and helpful to other..

Please tell me which shops in sacramento you are referring to. Most of them have a slight clue, but I wouldnt want any of them to do work on my car. From my experience with them most are best left to helping decide wich color headlight to get.

Tell you what...soon as I get my Drag on there lets have a freindly little race at SacRacewway. Then we'll see how things go. I'm sure dustin wouldnt mind coming out and joining in either.

The fact of the mater is that not everyone has the money or sponsorships to compete against those in the Quick 8 or 16. You have many true enthusiasts that do this as a hobby and not to prove something. I know I have fast car but will my ***** get any bigger because Im in the Quick 16? My car and my ***** are doing just fine.

Not everyone on here has the financial backing to make a Quick 16 car, however, many people have the knowledge.

Well, Ive been on this thing for a while now, and I own my own discussion forum and have co-moderated one of this biggest ones on the net.

I can honestly say, that this site is an excellent source for practical knowlodge. Sure, you're not going to read just one book to do a final thesis, but I'd say this is a good place to start.

I have actually a few really good people in person here, and shared some incredible amount of information. At the same time I have also ran into a lot of b.s. too. But the longer you're here and the more you read, the better you become at sifting out the truth from the b.s. If you're here thinking that you wil can become a certified technician just by rading these posts, then you're logic is severely flawed. Use it for its intended purpose...meeting people with the same likes and dislikes, sharing experiences, and making our cars perform!

as for my .02,
i learned some things on here... and its been helpful. i cant say that everyone here knows what theyre talkin about... but i do know... that if i need some opinions... i come here to get an "idea" of things, based on experiences that other turbo integ heads have had.

everyone's .02 counts. it counts even more when they are valid and not bullshiet. i only take into consideration the posts that are based on experience and general knowledge...

ive talked to a few SMA heads... never had a problem with buying a few things from them... but ive disagreed with a few of their techs. enuff said.

What is this guy talking about Dustin drives an integra.I think he is mad because most people who want a turbo dont go to SMA. Clear corners, altezzas etc SMA is your place to shop.i believe Motorsport Dinamics will be getting more customers because of this event. i think someone is mad because people want to make there car fast instead of flashy.Oh yeah and if you get a chance please shut up. Went by SMA today, but Tyson had the day off. Hoe...

All I wanted was a gauge pod and they didn't have crap. But they had plenty of tail lights... altezzas in regular, extra shiny, and crabon fiber (note: carbon fiber spray paint).
