for those rtunning the smc or something whats your fuel pressure at idle??did you have too lower it at all?? my car has a hard time starting sometimes and i think its due too excess fuel upon startup.. would a little b&M fpr be good for trimming fuel pressure anbd having a better startup?

my gfs fuel pressure is stock right now, and her idle setting is around 45 ish. then it jumps to 30 all the way across...dont ask me, its the only thing that would make the damn thing run...

i'm having some idling problems as well with my SMC+ and 390's on a 99 jrsc si. I have my idle trim set to -17%. it will idle fine some days and others it'll be crap. I also hear a rythmic ticking sound. I don't know if it is my valves or the larger fuel injectors. I also can't hold a steady rpm in neutral.

my fuel pressure is at 36 with the vacuum line attached. i keep forgetting to read it with the line off.

Who else is running the SMC/SMC+/SCM500? I'm having tuning issues of my own...

I'm running the SMC500 and I'm having absolutely no problems with starting/idle. I set my idle fuel pressure at about 34-35psi. I still need to tune, which I should be doing sometime in the next few days, so I will mess with a bunch of different settings to see what works best and I'll let you all know what I come up with.

no, OE fuel pressure is what it is designed to work with... think Zip says 30 at idle is a good place to start... that's where mine is at the moment without any real tuning.

Anyone else running it on a JRSC'd B18C1?
