I think I picked out the right compressor?
Ok I read the post on how to read the compressor maps. I read some other post on those "other boards" and try to see if I figured it out. I am boosting an f22 which has about the same displacement as an H22. Roughly speaking. I want to boost at about 22 psi for the track. I think I want a T3/T04E .54 trim or the .57 trim but when I plot it out is seems that I end up in the surge category as soon as my RPM is at about 5200. That doesn't seem right. I am waiting for BN to get me my Corkey Bell book but I was wondering if you guys can help. I called up XS and they told be they had a T3/T04E turbo that was for my app. The problem is I have a T3/T04B Turbonetics in my basement that I want to use as a core. You know how XS is about their specs though SHHH. Am I right or wrong with the trim. Thanks

U must be reading the compressor map wrong, because for my LS 1.8L w/ T3/T04e i am just left of effeciency at 5000rpm.. no where near surge

and just to refresh my memory what was your redline again?
whenever I was doing my own numbers for real high boost like say 25 PSI, you arent gonna have "full boost" by 5000 RPM, full boost being 25 PSI.
for an H22 with a T04E 60 trim and a T3 stage 3 .63 a/r, with CERAMIC BB
8 psi = 2900-3100 RPM's
10 psi = 3400 RPM's
12 psi = Never ran 12psi specifically
15 psi = 3900-4100 RPM's.
18 psi = never ran 18 PSI
that was something another Luder posted on po.com, and remeber it has a ceramic Ball Bearing so boost comes on earlier than a standard turbo. If it wasa standard turbo, I would probably add 600-700 RPM's to the above numbers.
and remember these are all just guesstimations.

The T04B H-3 wheel is very common for F22's. Just a little observation I have made. Have not looked at the compressor maps.

My rev-limit is 6200. I want to get to about 22 psi so how would I know at what RPM is the boost at. Should I just plot for the max RPM. I have a T04B but I want the E wheel. The F22 is similar in size to the H23 or H22 so that is why i want the E wheel. Also I felt that at 22 psi the E wheel was better suited. Sounds Good
