Default I searched I need info on good rods and pistons.

I am in the middle of my build and am lost. I am trying to hit the 600whp+ and dont know what rods and pistons can handle that abuse. Will the eagles? I am trying not to spend a fortune on it. SO give me some good set-ups that you guys have had really good luck with.

Have you tryed searching? I see this question asked 5 times a week. I have seen Eagles with that amount of power but if you want to be certain than your going to have to spend the extra money to have a piece of mind. Pauter, Manley are one of the better rods out there. I personally have manley turbo tuff rods and I should have around 500-600whp. CP, Arias, Ross, JE are all good pistons. Did I answer your question?

Yeah it was what I feared. I know the saying you get what you pay for so I guess I will have to pony up some cash. Thoes rods are so hard to find used too. and they dip into the 800 new.

I wouldn’t recommend using used rods if you’re trying to make 600+whp

I would rather save some more money and have more than enough rod. That way I don’t have to worry all the time if one is going to break or something going wrong but that’s my opinion

Very good point. Well the money that was going for my rods was spent on a new block cause I got shafted by a scammer on here so i guess I will have to do a little more penny pinching. I guess the wife doesnt get that anniversary present.
