Hey I just bought the hondata s200 box and came with the wire for it. I have a p28 ecu. What do i need to get to chip it or socket it? Im going to take it somewhere to do that. I would just like to buy whats needed. can anyone help me or tell me where i can buy whats needed so i can plug in my hondata unit. thanks..

Visit your local hondata dealer. You will need to have the unit installed into your ecu & tuned.

the p28 needs to have a socket installed, and a couple of jumpers, and some other stuff, i cant remember. There are instructions somewhere. check out moates.com, and hondata.com

I just took my p28 down to a local electronic repair shop with the parts and the instructions and he took care of it for me for less than 40$

Correct, however you still need to have the car tuned on hondata to make use of the system.

You could theoretically buy a romulator, chip burner & romeditor v4 package to tune the vehicle your self. But by the time you do this, you might as well have bought an s300 module.

if you go to the hondata web site, they have a list of all their dealers. talk to your local dealer and either he can, or he can send your ecu in to be socketed. once you get it back, i would have the dealer tune it for you.

I cant buy the datalog cord and hook up to my labtop? I have the program already on my computer..

Just go to the Hondata site (like has already been said) and download the manual.It needs to be set up (tuned) by someone that knows what their doing and has the tools.
