I need a cat that fits my 3" Thermal exhaust and my Fmax DP

Re: I need a cat that fits my 3" Thermal exhaust and my Fmax DP (Reverend)
What's the ID of the FMAX downpipe? I have the DRAG downpipe that is 2.5" connected to a reducer pipe that opens up to 3", then to a 3" Carsound Cat. Conv., then to the 3" Thermal.
You can check out the diff. size cat. conv.s at; http://www.car-sound.com/
*Note; the Carsound Cats. will not just bolt on. You have to weld the end flanges on and the O2 bunges. Any half way decent welder can do it.
Good luck.

its the same pipe diameter as the Drag - 2.5 I think. I just want to get something that bolts right on because I hate welding **** up. I've got a feeling that I'm gonna have to though . . .

The thing is that Thermal makes the exhaust shorter. That means you would have to get cat that is longer than stock and with the same flanges.

Once you start doing custom work to get things fit together I can't even fathom paying the price for a thermal or other commercially available exhaust; just buy the pipe and a couple of bends and have the whole job welded up for a third the price.

Thats why I make custom downpipes..hehe.
But for the price of the group buy you cant get Stainless steel cheaper and make it for less.

Yeah I've had bad experiences with SS exhausts so I stick with the traditional stuff... brittle welds and exhaust don't go together well.
