I have been waiting for what seems like forever to finish this pos... and now it's finally close. The setup is below, what do you guys think it's capable of? I'm kinda hoping for 550 whp, on 110 octane, and et's in the 10.7 range

sounds like it will make what you want it to but the only thing I would change if it where me where the size of the pistons.... I would run either 83 or 84mm because at 85 you have no room for rebuild

I know... but I got a hell of a deal on the block, already at 85 (actually mic's at 84.6)... so I jumped on it.

well thats good.... not to sound like a dick or anything but I hope you can get another good deal if something goes wrong because that will be another atleast lets say around 1700 for pistons, sleeves and machining work...... but I hope all works out for you

i predict problems.

especially with the cams and the crower retainers. we had a set of crower retainers pull through on us.

Sav Leone, just cracked a cam a month or 2 ago @ E-town, and if you search around on here, you will see many others have also cracked their crower cams

the phantom grip cradle DOES NOT give enough clearance between the gears, so there will be problems with that as well.

a better cradle which does give the gears "proper mesh" is the http://www.libertysgears.com transmission cradle. and its cheaper too. comes with shims/bearings and a hell of a good tech line, if you should happen to have a question

I'll just have to hope that the retainers hold up... the cams have like 3 k miles on them, so I'm hoping if they were gonna break due to poor metal structure, they would have already done so. The tranny has already been ran for about 50 passes at the track, no problems....
