I know very little about the p14 ecu but can it and a stock map sensor support any boost?
Just as asked above!
I'm wondering if the stock p14 ecu can handle any boost at all, and if so how much is it able to effectively manage!
*gets flame suit on*
Be gentile, I know the mechanical aspects in and out but as far as tuning I have very limited knowledge. I have no local support for hondata (its over an hour and half away so towing is NOT an option). I could get s300 but I would have NO clue how to program it myself, and the fact that s300 is more than I would pay for a managment system. That and I would have to buy the p72 aswell boosting my cost well over 1000 dollers, and yet still have no means to tune it safely.
Thanks in advance for any input, and please just try to keep responses as answers to my questions.

The P14 code which is the same as the P13, POA, etc doesn't have any readily supported rom editors that support boost. So your best option really is to run a obd1 civic/integra ecu.
You don't have to run the S300, you can do things much cheaper.

Re: (duggy)
P14 is for the H23 prelude right?
if so, i just ordered a chipped ECU from phearable for like $120, gave them the entire turbo setup specs, and my car started up and ran FLAWLESSLY on the basemap for a solid 2 weeks til i got it tuned.

I don't think anyone's cracked the P13/P14 ecu. So probably not. Just run a P28 and chip it. You'll lose the IAB's though. Otherwise, your next option is a chipped P72 (GSR), which has controls for IAB's.

The P13/P14 coding is cracked. It is similar to the civic/integ stuff. But there fuel table conversion and what not are what are throwing people for a loop hence why there is no boost support for it.
And you won't loose IAB control if you get setup with the right p28 ecu, the addition of the butterflies is simple hardware addition to the board.

Re: (esedulerp5tenin)
WHAT??? yeah mines H23 1993 sr 4ws. So what ecu is that you have?
Thats exactly what I need. So that ecu you got from them was able to be chipped and tuned with your turbo setup then at that point???

Re: (duggy)
I'll check around duggy.
Thanks for suggestion.
I'm not familiar AT all with neptune. Hondata I have a bit of knowledge where I could probably learn how to program my self, but like I said s300 is pricey and s200 has no local support.

So what setup would you recommend? Budget friendly would be under maybe 500-600 hopefully with a decent base-map of some sorts so I can go get tuned.

sent.
Sorry about my delay, my buddy had his chihuhuha (taco bell dog) get smoked by a car and had to get put down. I have his dog's brother so I had to go pay my respects.
Pm me back with more info when you get a chance
thanks for your support guys!

i know that the P13/P14 code doesn't support boost actualy, but is the hardware similar enough to a P28/P30 board to run the P30 boost code on a P13/P14 hardware?
has anyone tried this?
to loose the IABs is clear, but thats not a problem...

Re: (mrx)
You can chip the p14 with a boost map I'm sure, but I don't know how reliable it would be. I can find pre programmed rom's that support boost for the P14 but how could I trust that.
