I know it's not a honda, but turboing a NA FC3 RX7?? NO TII
I got the ich to come back to the import world, but have always wanted to mess with those FC3's. They are light, RWD and pretty quick out of the box. Those wankle motors look easier to work on then conventional motors do since your dealing with rotors instead of pistons/rods/rings, etc. Searched every rx7 site I could find, even searched teamfc3s and didn't find too much (they don't know too much about it), nada.
Anyone know about this? I know there are so many smart people on this site, someone has to know something. I'm looking for info on NA turbo not the TII motor, my plans are on turboing the NA motor only so any help is much appreciated (fuel management issues mainly). TIA

Fuel management: MegaSquirt
Look on http://www.msefi.com, there are a handful running MS with wankels, and they have figured out the ignition timing issues with the engine's odd ignition.
The rest of the equation is just hardware, and that is easy to figure out, unless you try to copy the TT's weird wastegate arrangement.

What's weird about the TT wastegate arrangement?
technine: Have you tried http://www.fc3s.org ?
I don't know much about the 2nd gen RX-7, but the ignition timing will be an issue for sure.

OH MY !!
Got a pretty good explanasion on why most people don't do it on the General descussion board and from what you said about ignition... just sounds too scary and not worth the time and effort. Sonny, I'll have to check out that site, thanks... maybe there is hope, maybe not.

Yup...I have one. They are a spider web of hoses, but most of those hoses are emissions control hoses. If you remove all of that crap and run the "simplified sequential" hose layout, you end up with less than half the crap.
