Im hoping for a solid 450+whp. Gonna be doin 81.5mm 9:1 compression wiseco pistons on eagle rods. Holset HX35 16cm, PTE 1000cc injectors and dual walbros. Tuned by Reid at KaizenSpeed. But it'd be really hard money wise to have a block sleeved right now. So do i NEED to have it sleeved for the 450-500hp im looking for? Or will a stock sleeve block sufice? Like i said, this will be dyno tuned by a very conservative tuner.

In the high HP on stock block thread...
Updated in november 2007,
1. Burgermass 407 whp, 308 tq, 24 psi, SC 61, all motor cams
Was the highest HP...
So your dreams of 450-500... I don't think will be reached, not without at least 450-500 hours of tuning lol...
Enjoy
Good Luck

read before you act like a moron!!!
in that thread highest ls is:
LS:
1. Super-hatch 509 whp 350tq at 21 psi on c16 tuned by JASON hunt
and that was not likely solely limited by the sleeves but also by the nonvtec head.
so 450 is doable but you better know your ****

You all better read before you act. Its not a stock ls, its a Stock LS BLOCK. with pistons and rods.
You should be fine @ 450 with a good tune on stock sleeves. it just leaves small room for error

Oh, my bad, i didnt even think to note that it would have a B16 head on it with GSR cams and ARP headstuds. Im gonna try to put some supertech valve springs in it.

Re: (rorik)
No, im not looking for 600 just yet. But id like to do 500 on racegas and maybe a streetable 400 on pump. Just wanna be sure the sleeves will hold for a season or so while i scrape up the cash to get another block sleeved. Building 3 cars at once is a PITA.
