Default I have replaced My IAC valve twice so far! What is wrong?

I have a 97 civic LX with a 95 ex intake manifold. I am using my stock TB and I am running 7 lbs daily. Is anyone else out there expeirencing this problem? How did you fix it. I have 2 ideas, either the boost kills the little $100 eletric motor or the heat is frying it. I noticed and examined the first IAC and saw that coolant runs into the IAC but doesn't go anywhere except out. What is the purpose of this and can I or Should I bypass this. I live in FL and warming an engine is not a problem!

Yeah my stuff is hosed too since I swapped the EX head/intake/iacv onto my motor. Rpms will sometimes bounce up and down unless the AC is on, then it holds at a steady 1000 RPMS...

Replaced the IACV with a used one that was supposed to be good, but I dunno....been fighting it for a year now.

maybe the boost is screwing with the valve. check the screen on the IAC to see if its clogged. i wouldn't recommend bypassing the coolant. the coolant runs into the valve to heat it up. the ecu then can read that temp in order to determine if the motor is warmed up or not. just to let you know, i have cleaned my IAC valve twice now and i have never had to replace it...yet.

The thing is not even 3 months old! AT $160 a pop from honda it is getting alittle expensive. Nothing is clogged and the iratic idle was the problem, now giving the car any gas from idle and it takes a crap untill it getts to 3000 then it runs normal. So the only problem area is the leeving idle and idling.

Have you checked the cam/cankshaft alignment? Might have jumped on you...

The two hoses coming off the EACV, are used to keep the TB from icing up. I have had mine bypassed for a little over a year now.

my cars idle hunts up/down like this too when you first start the car for a few minutes (even if the cars temp guage reads warm and its only been sitting for 30 minutes during a 95 degree texas day) i basicly gave up on the IAC after two, but i'm still trying to figure out whats wrong.. when i ran a hondata ecu i could turn down the duty cycle to stop it, but i'm using a powerfc now and dont have that option.. any other ideas?
