Default I have $4200 for a turbo setup.. Suggestions?

Obviously I don't have enough to build my bottom end, but what would you guys suggest I buy with that $4200 so I can at least strap it on my R and boost 8lbs max... Gimme some $4200 setups!

i think if you got a plain jane turbo kit with stand alone & dyno time, you'd be really happy and fast.

...and a thicker head gasket. Stock B blocks are quite strong, ask around, you'll be impressed.......

i think 3200 is still expensive for what the drag kit comes with. if i paid 3200 i'd expect all top of the line parts. just a quick example of what you can buy...

turbo manifold $450 (drag 2, rev hard, maxrev)
60-1/t3 4 bolt $750
XS GTR intercooler $700
Tial 40mm $375
Tial Bov $175
walboro 255 hp $100

that's about $2550

you have about $650 left from the $3200 to take care of piping/fab/misc hardware, and you have way better parts.

you have about a grand to get something like a hondata, run some cheap DSM injectors, and get a norgen pressure regulator (from air compressors) $25, and you have a kick *** turbo system.

sounds like a good plan and all but your forgetting the group buy comes with a free turbo timer, clutch, gauges and a few other little things.. also getting piping and a downpipe made is not that easy for the average joshmo and not everyone has access to fabricators where they live.. unless u have done all this before buying a complete kit is probably the way to go..
