k, finally finished the process... dont have any guages yet but i can tell that the TD04 hits right at 3500 rpm, damn it pulls like a ****.... have lil problem here and there but slowly fixin em..... i almost cried cuz every single problem that exist just hap[pen to be in my car.... boyyyy.. did i smile when i felt the power of boost... here are some of the few problems..

CEL = code 5
burnt oil smell = goin aawaay slowly 9 it might be the carbon in the turbo since its used and been sitting around for a while)

i had smoke for a lil bitbut gone now..... oh yeah i have a 00ex with used greddy turbo kit with Blitz BOV....

can you guys give me basic maintenance stuff on how to take care of my car and turbo???? im very new with this..
and give me some upgrade info too... like intercooler and stuff... thanks

nice man, turbo in a sohc. i got d16z6 with supercharger 6 lbs. looking to push more soon. post yur 1/4 time when u get the chance.

once everything is running smooth, and turbo all oiled up again then ill run it and see what i can do.... i dont wanna drive to hard though cuz i heard people burnin their clutch so fast after putting in the turbo..... i almost went supercharge, too.. but found a good deal on used turbo kit...... whats your 1/4 mile time with the 6 lbs of boost on the JRSC? is it a hatch? hhhhhmmmmm... later

The oil smell might be coming from your exhaust manifold. . .I just finished mine up two weeks ago and it did the same thing...as far as the engine code??? I can tell you tomorrow though....turbo is cool ain't it! going from slow as a snail to a little bit of *****...

Check your plugs regularly to see if you are running rich or lean. . .since you don't have any gauges.
Check your oil daily!
Make sure your oil return line stays away from the manifold...I learned this the hard way. . .
do you have an upgraded fuel pump? if not...get one.
No turbo timer...make sure you idel for a minute or two before you turn the car off if you've been hittin hard.

Congrats on the install. Boost is a blast...it's just a matter of time before you want more! About that burnt oil smell, give it a day of driving and see if it goes away. It might have just been some oil you spilled on or around the downpipe/oil pan area that will just burn away...no biggie. Secondly, code 5 is a MAP sensor code so you better check your check valves or look over your connections for your blue/black box. Good luck
