i gave up boost but now i'm back...
So after two different turbo setups that ran pretty well I had decided to go all motor. I have a b16 head tapped/fitted/plugged for a ls/vtec that was gonna go on my '94 teg.
Then out the blues a deal comes for a '93 Civic and a turbo kit for my teg. I traded cars and then I had Drag turbo kit and an automatic EX. I knew I wasn't gonna build the automatic so I started searching and found a '89 HF with no engine for 700$ in decent shape...
So now this is my winter project:
'89 HF-No eng. (I have a 5spd. '89 SI tranny for sale-make offer)
B16a2 head
Drag manifold
Deltagate wastegat(9psi)boost creeps...
Turbonetics/Garret turbo
Spearco intercooler/piping
HKS bov
plans are to go with the fmu instead of the AFC like i did before. Is gonna be either an LS/VTEC or a b20(if i sell the head-$450 + shipping) completely stock besides the rod/head bolts.
I want to keep it simple. Did the complete engine buildups before and this time I just want something simple... I'm gonna go to a 5-7psi spring. It should be fun.
If any suggestions please let me know!

i run uberdata myself but a guy nsxmatt has a civic hatch turbo with an fmu set up and running 12's, so if he wants to dont discourage him. I think he knows what he is doing, his 3rd turbo kit right?

Sure, an FMU works, no question asked. But you will never make good power with an FMU, its just not possible. So why not run Uberdata for the same money?

the thing is that i want something simple. I talked and searched about the uberdata and I'm really thinking about it... don't know what to do yet.
also my two other cars ran great with the AFC, never had any problems. No CEL's..
so I was just going with a simpler setup.

My friend ran 12.3 @ 112 in his CRX hf w/ a GSR, drag mani, t304e 57trim turbo and 6psi on lenso's and 24.5inch MT slicks. 2000lbs w/ driver (FMU setup) (Now going AEM EMS, CRX is just a shell now hes tryin to get rid of but is building a full new setup for his EG w/ inlinepro helpin him, he wants a 9 second street car lol)
My hatch (92) went 12.7 @ 110 w/ 8psi 2350lbs w/ driver, B20b, gsr tranny, big turbo, 20in MT small slicks. (FMU setup_ (using Hondata soon, cars off the road while I build the new setup, lookin for 10's)
I think your car should go pretty damn fast and have a lot of fun. Good LUck
