Default i fixed my BOV no more annoying compressor surge

k, i had this fluttering problem since i put on the turbo last saturday... i asked wuestions and you guys and other guys from other forums gave me good answers... i had the time earlier and took the BOV apart... you ask why? cuz the rod wouldn't move at allno matter how much pressure i put on it..... it was a bitch by the way to take the thin apart since it was clogged with dirt...... i was hammering it and stuff.... now i got everything off, so i clean it and sanded the rod and the inside of the BOV casing to take the dirt off... any of you hav seen the inside of a BOV??? i cant believe they charge that much for just a litte pece of metal with spring and bolts.... bt anyways, i put em bck together and put itback in the ca and what i get??? a big WWWWHHHHHHOOOOOOOSSSSSSSHHHH....... yeyeyeyeyyeyye.... just wanna share my joy with you guys...

BOV, wastegate, fuel pressure regulators, etc... all nothing but a little piece of metal with spring and bolts.

Crazy world.

just curious, but what BOV do you have? I wonder if that's the cause of my fluttering problem, also . ..

Aren't you using the GReddy BOV? (the purple one) I though they were *supposed* to have the fluttering sound.. well that's how mine has been ever since its been in my car (though I bought it second hand) - also every other Purple GReddy BOV i've seen flutters..

That's a NO, the GReddy should NOT be fluttering/stuttering, ch ch ch-ing or ca ca ca-ing...anything like that either means it is adjusted to "HARD" or that there are internal mechanism problems occuring. Stuttering means something aint right.

With foot off the gas (as in shifting when in boost), there should be a nice, smooth, breezy "psssshhhuuuuiiieeeeeshhhhh" sound similar to a whistle (or however in the hell you spell it) wwwwhhhhhooooossssshhhhiiiieeeeeeeee! ??

Anyway...there ya have it.
