I remember when I had an LS years ago I compared stats between an LS/JRSC and GSR/JRSC. If I remember correctly the GSR motor got more out of the JRSC than the LS. Maybe that's why a lot of people didn't buy the JRSC for the LS motor. I now have a GSR and about a month ago I was lucky enough to have picked up a JRSC off Craigslist. ($1K + SI rims).

Ever considered using a Turbo kit off ebay? They're about $900 and I've heard good and bad things. Best bet is to check with people on the forum if you want first hand accounts regardings those kits. My DSM friend tells me you can piece a decent one together for less than $1,000.

If you still want a JRSC...maybe slap a GSR (B18C) head to your motor but that's a lot of work and you won't pass smog. JRSC for the GSR motor are easier to find and go for around $1k-$1.5K

most people never bought the LS kit because it uses the m45 instead of the m62, they insist that the m45 is too small

edelbrock also makes a carb approved turbo kit. it's more powerful than the jackson and priced similar.

Thats what im asking myself..moisture has nothing to do with turbo..or "water in the air"..true tho..you see a intercooler and it's sure to be stolen..sad..but there's ways to make it discrete

Water in the air has nothing to do with having a turbochargers, and last more than a year if you know what you're doing, no different than a JRSC.

Whether you're intercooled or not, its a Honda, they'll jack it anyway.

Start reading those FAQs regarding Turbochargers, because right now, sadly you're not making much sense at all in your logic.

I would look into vortech or procharger....jackson racing products are junk.

Agreed. Your turbo can suck in small amounts of water from driving in the rain that will never hurt it. I have driven through rain multiple times with only a screen over the intake inlet haha.

Are you talking about the motor failing or the turbo? I think most of the guys on here that have bought quality turbos (i prefer garrett) will say that their turbos have lasted years. Mine has seen multiple track days (road racing) and gotten the **** beat out of it and still runs fine today.

As far as the motor goes, honda motors weren't built for boost. If you want to get some serious power you need to build it properly with quality parts.

owning a jackson racing kit, i would have to agree, as much as i love the roots blower, theres nothing stellar about the kit without some degree of custom modification, especially the way they setup the fuel system with the FMU and pressure switch.

You can definately get more out of a vortech or procharger kit, especially if you can intercool. Procharger + intercooler + edlebrock performer x manifold + big throttle body = better performance then a JR kit.
