I知 trying to figure out what boost I知 running
I知 trying to figure out what boost I知 running
My auto meter boost gauge is saying 11 to12 psi When the vafc is saying .62kg/cm2 witch I think is kilogram-force/square centimeter (this pic is not from my car that痴 why is says .65) so if I do the conversion it converts to 8.81psi.
I just won稚 to know if I'm doing the right conversion or is the vafc reading in another scale.
Because when you池e using the hack you can稚 run over 10.5 to 11 psi with out throwing a code and if it痴 going to 12psi what痴 up with that. When I first put my car back together and ran it hard after breaking it in I had the boost controller turned all the way up not knowing it and I was hitting 15 to 20 psi and never throw a code or anything.

1kg/cm^2=14.22psi
.65 x 14.22 = 9.243psi
edit: your conversion for .62kg/cm^2 is correct. I would suspect your Autometer gauge is off, sinc ethe AFC just reads the MAP signal, and should be pretty accurate, unless you're running check valves or something.

Re: Iテつ知 trying to figure out what boost Iテつ知 running (EFrollingout)
my SAFC does the same damn thing.
I have an omori 1.0 bar gauge and it will read .44bar and the ******* safc will read .3-.31 or so.
I trust the omori.
i think the vafc/safc is tuned for a certain barometric pressure or something...maybe it is our map sensors.

Re: Iツ知 trying to figure out what boost Iツ知 running (Accord94DX)
I was thinking the vafc was right over the auto meter gauge. I have no check valves or anything I just have it set up the way you should when running the hack. It runs really good I just canツ稚 tell what boost Iツ知 running.
It looks like im running about 9psi if im going off the vafc.

Re: Iテδづつ知 trying to figure out what boost Iテδづつ知 running (EFrollingout)
the afc reads in bar...
.62bar = .62*14.7=9.114lbs
Most likely your map sensor will top out at .72bar (if it's like mine) which is 10.584lbs, which is supposed to be the limit of our map sensors anyway-- So it seems accurate to me! My autometer gauge also reads more than it should, +1 or two pounds.... My peice of **** points to 1lb when the car is off....
EDIT:
And by the way, the hack will NEVER throw a code, since at the map sensors limit (.72bar) you still haven't reached a CEL voltage. You can run all the boost you want with the hack... you just wont get anymore fuel beyond .72bar!

Re: Iツ知 trying to figure out what boost Iツ知 running (EFrollingout)
I have this problem but opposite. My autometer boost guage will read out 8 psi and never spike above but when i check the peak boost on my blitz turbo timer it will show something crazy high like .8 - .9 kg/cm^2 which is like between 11.3 and 12.78 psi.
I believe the autometer because i can't imagine i have been running that high of boost on a stock bottom end d16 with 142,000 miles on it for over a year now. plus the autometer reads 22 inches of mercury in vaccum when i'm at idle which i believe is exactly what i should be running and the blitz is off on that to.
