HybridKOOP - The rebirth... underway!
After 19 various cars throughout the years, I have decided to build yet another Honda.
This time, I'm going ***** to the wall. You may remember me about 6 years ago with one of the original LS/VTEC setups in a white '94 Civic Coupe that ran 12's (quick for it's time).
Well, I never lost the love for the '92-'95 Coupe bodystyle, so I am utilizing it once again. This SFWD purpose built vehicle is based on a '93 EX chassis, and will be undergoing some extensive work for this coming race season. A few of the highlights of the car are 16-inch JDM ITR wheels (street use), 5-lug ITR conversion (obviously), full Championship White paint inside and out (I miss my '98 ITR #587), cage, and 1.9L transplant running lots of boost. For those who don't know me... most people will tell you I am borderling OCD so this car should come out clean
I shall keep updated pictures in this thread to document the build as it takes place. My girlfriend and I started tearing the car down a week ago, and are here now:
... next season will be FUN, and from what I hear... Connecticut cars will be making a strong showing at a bunch of the eastcoast events!

Yeah, I couldn't wait for the glass guy to get here, so I took care of business with a sledge hammer.
More progress has taken place since the pics. The booster, master cylinder, etc. are all out now. Going to prep the car for the cage and engine bay MIG'ing.
And yeah, I'm up in Connecticut now. To Rainman, yes that was me at Desoto, I miss Florida so much!

Might want to rethink the ITR 5-lug conversion so you can run 13" wheels and actually be competitive in SFWD/T4.

Anthony: I expect you, Tom, and anyone else, to come and help out once the drivetrain is ready to plop in! Give me a ring, I want to hear about this new NA setup you've got going on!
Ruben: I'm ready when you are! Give me a ring to discuss the buildup of the hatch!

Re: HybridKOOP - The rebirth... underway! (m R g S r)
It looks like I WILL be using 5-lug hubs, 5 lug discs, and GSR calipers in order to clear the 13-inch wheel. I'm simply in love with my 16 inch ITR wheels, and really don't want to be swapping out front end suspensions on racedays.
And to m R g S R, I will have to post pics of my girlfriend sometime working on my car. She's not your average looking "garage" type of girl if you know what I mean (butchy)
