Default HUGE black puff of smoke now bogs at low rpm?

Okay so i was merging onto the highway in 3rd gear and i was giving it some gas and i hit around 10psi or so when a huge balck cloud shoots out of my exhaust and it feels like i hit a rev limiter. So iu get off at the next exit and car still drives fine and idles fine, but if i am in the lower rpm and give it some gas it like makes a real fast thudding noise this is only from 2-3.5k or so if it is over that and i give it gas there isnt an issue.

A/f ratio is still fine across the board, its doesnt sound like knocking or anything but i'm not sure. Anyone have any input? could i have popped the headgasket, that was my first guess...

huge puff of black smoke would not be a headgasket. That'd be white.

well thats what i figured, black is unburnt fuel which would be fine because i am boost and there will be extra fuel, but not in the amount that came out, and that doesnt explain the bogging like feeling

Black smoke is damn near always running rich. What engine management you got?

i am running crome the a/f were all good, like i said i started it up today in the garage and everything was fine, but after driving it in the rain for 10 minutes it started up again (the bogging or like htting a rev limiter at like 3k if i gave it some gas) mind you the a/f still stays in check, not overly rich or lean (14.4)

doesn't sound like a headgasket. That would be white smoke.

edit: just saw someone else already said that.

Water? Did you hose down your engine bay? They should be a "seal" there to help keep it out? Was that there?

yea the seal was there but its like kinda smushed or soemthing so it doesnt seal perfectly, and the water got in the bay via the vent in my hood (evo style hood)

Haha, water in your electrical components could possibly be your issue.
