How would i swap in a 63 for my 48?
yea yea i know, i JUST got my turbo on...not even done yet, but i just want to do some research...
i have a 60trim t3 with a 48 ar. if i wanted to swap in a 63 ar for the 48, what would i need? just the exhaust housing or would i also need a new blade? i dont know much about the technical aspects of the turbo yet (although I have opened it up to check it out). If after im tuned and everything is operating smoothly...and it doesnt pull high end enough, I think I might consider this as a next upgrade. I am also curious if I could (later on of course) swap in a t4 compressor side. i guess i am really asking what you need to make your own hybrid and what wheels / thrust bearings / all that other good stuff you need to make it work. Thanks for your help.

best case senario. If its old, your doing well to get each bolt out in 5 min.

i have done a few with over 100k on them. man what a bitch. I use a ton of oxy/acet just heating up the stupid bolts. The best part is that you can't get to all of them until you rotate the center section. no fun at all. I can see why new turbos are all the rage
