Default How would this do for a quick spooling LS stock motor turbo?

SPfab Quick4AC, Spoolin Performance

I assume this manifold would live up to daily driving?

That's a good combination. I used to run an SLS shorty with a GT3255 (similar to a 50 trim) and it was a beast of a street setup. You'll enjoy it

Will that turbo support 300whp or a little over?

Couldn't find much of anything on Spoolin's quick4 manifold but I found a few complaints of the turbo being mounted too low which lead to oil drainage issues. So I might rethink that part and go with a cast manifold or Spoolin's street ramhorn.

I do wonder if the 50 trim is a great street turbo that will support over 300whp and have fast spooling...why does everyone with a stock motor build go with a 57trim and a .63 AR?

Because people are afraid of running "more than 8psi" or some arbitrary excuse like that. You'll have better overall response with the 50 trim and it wont limit your power goals at all. It should make ~400-420whp if pushed

Of course you could always go with a similarly sized ball bearing turbo and have better response abd considerably better recovery between shifts if budget isn't an issue.

No budget isn't much of an issue (to a common sense point of course)

I ran a ramhorn and something similar to a t3 super 60 on a stock Ls. it was a really fun set up, and fairly responsive.

I read a super 60 is a great/fun turbo but I don't think it will support 300whp or a little over.

I got to doing some searches and came across this good thread.

https://honda-tech.com/forced-induct...video-1665480/

I'm looking for a highly responsive turbo setup.

That's with any "mini-ram" style manifold. Not just Spoolin' performance. But then why go with a Kooks manifold? That just makes the entire "responsiveness" go down even further. Sure they look great, but completely unnecessary for the need. Stick with a tubular log manifold, as they can support more without the need a ford style 5 bolt turbine housing. They are also more compact to fit than the others.

This I agree with completely. Even moreso with the GTX2863R. I love it on the non-vtec 1.8 litres. Its responsiveness on an uncanny level. Put the extra money THERE instead of some ridiculously large manifold.

Just barely over 300whp. Plus you have to go to a 5 bolt turbine downpipe for it to work.

You lost me on the "Kooks manifold". What is that?

So you are more on board for me going with something like this? SPfab Log Manifold, Spoolin Performance

And I will take your advice on the turbo (GTX2863R). If you love it on a non-vtec 1.8L then that is all I need to hear. Where is the best place to get one?

Sorry, Kooks Headers and Exhaust has been around since 1962, and was the original creator of the "Ramhorn" manifold from 1997. When I've first dealt with that style it was right when it was introduced on some Honda 500+ street cars back in about 1998. So the "Ramhorn" is what is known as a Kooks design.

The GTX2876R... well, just PM me and I'll point you in the right direction.
