how to use 35psi on Crvtec w/o turbo lag!!
hii
i have b20/b16a and now i will do a big step
i want turbed it with high possible boost like 35psi
Note: this thread for serious professional turboed!
i know the rules:
lower compression = higher boost possible.
higher boost = turbolag
questions:
how i can go with the hihger boost w/o turbo lag?
what the best compression retio?
if i use the anti lag ecu`s they can helpful?

Man You really need to do some research.. why cant you use a little juice on every race? Alot of the Serious drag guys use it to get that big ole turbo spooled up. and why wouldnt the turbo work right because of a little n2o?

brcuse its not for drag
its for street and if i will use it every race i have to buy it every week?
and the problem not with the nitro. i dont know what should make my CR with high boost? how to degree it?
what about 8.4:1? can i have a turbo lag with it
wisco piston

well you gotta pay to play.. your talking about some serious $$$ with this motor setup so im sure $60-70 to fill a tank of N2o isnt that big of a issue with you.
IMO 8.4:1 is low for street driven boosted motors. Id go with the 9:1- 9.5:1 CR. Remember that Tuning is the key to making Power. not the highest boost pressure.
Make sure you build the motor right. break it in properly. and take care of it.
Some people with b16's make 300whp at 14-15 PSI.. then some can make the same numbers on 9-10 psi.. Tuning plays a big role. Also what kind of gas do you plan on running in the car?

Re: (blindingxenon)
so if i go with 9:1 what kind of turbo can i use for 500hp?
and what boost? over 20 - 25 or 30 -35?
and about the gas i dont know how to say it in english but we use the best gas in kuwait
im thinking the Garrett GT4088R

Dude.. you need to do some serious research.
Dont worry about the PSI. Who cares if you make 500whp on 10psi or 50.
Find a turbo that supports your goals. You dont want a turbo that will make 800hp or you will have more lag. You want to find a turbo that maxes out a bit over 500 and is dual ball bearing. That will minimize lag as much as possible. With your motor you should not have a huge issue with lag anyway.
Some of the better Standalone systems have anti-lag built in them, but they play a dangerious game of retarding timing and adding fuel to help spool the turbo. not the safest thing in the world, but it does work. Keep and eye on your EGT's
Good luck and dont listen to your friends. Do your own research

Re: how to use 35psi on Crvtec w/o turbo lag!! (platinum00)
Your going to need to sleeve the block, run a 9:1 compression ratio and get a decent size turbo. If i was in your place id run a 61mm and that will give you everything your looking for. If all you want is 500hp that turbo will be more then fine as for turbo lag your motor is bigger then most so lag shouldnt be to much of a problem and if you launch high your not gonna lag like you think. I would just tune it on chrome take it to the track let her run down the track if you feel you need antilag or a 2 step then go that road but i doubt it

Re: how to use 35psi on Crvtec w/o turbo lag!! (boostinh2x)
kk i see nice talk guys and some unknown talking
when i say 500hp i mean at least, and the turbo support 800 hp but i will not get all 800hp maybe 550 - 650
and sure i will sleeve the block befor use it
and i will go with wisco pistons or cp pistons 9.0 cr
and every day i doing research not just listen to my friends
but with this turbo and 9.0 cr i will not get the turbo lag right!

is this dude serious or pulling out chains
your always goign to get turbo lag how much is a different question. if u want to ask questions about all the possible ways of limiting turbo lag then ask that. theres no magical way to get rid of it.
someone answered you on the nitrous part which would be the most practical way to reduce lag and make low end power.
higher compression doesnt spool the turbo noticeably faster, just makes more off boost power.
you're out of your mind getting a turbo for 750whp on your 500whp setup especially when your biggest concern here seems to be spool time.
get a gt30r it will spool the fastest and meet your 500whp power goal. maybe want a 50 shot of nitrous as well.

Re: how to use 35psi on Crvtec w/o turbo lag!! (q8delsol)
ok no matter what you do you will have some form of turbo lag. on my setup i will have full boost around 28000 RPM. that is low as hell. however I'm SOHC and T28. don't stress if it has lag look it at as two different driving maps. Pre spool for the normal day to day driving to save gas and tires. full boost point to read line for racing or just having fun. just make sure that you will have full boost at all your shift points. IMO 500+ whp is to much for daily driving. even auto-X. it's just to hard to keep it to the ground in our light *** FWD.

But to try to answer ur question:
Run higher compression, and a smaller turbo to minimize lag.

hybrdthry911:
the gt30r small turbo maybe at maximum 500 and i need some thing can give me more
95jeremie:
our honda will be FWD too will do it in ourgarage and have fun with all the jop
and i think i will go with the GT4094R but serious guys if u see any thing impossible to do the jop alert me i need ur support too
i need at least 500hp with CR 9.0 and turbo GT4094R
i will start it in next week so i need all the info if u know
first with sleeve - pistons - rods..etc.
