This is one of my favorite sleepers. Cool *** owner too. I'll let him chime in with more info if he wants to or let it stay sleeper. Cause it totally is.
Car = 99-00 Civic Si.
Motor = 81.5mm GSR built by Zerolift Autolab. Sleeved, Portflow head, GSR cams, Blox IM. 1000cc...
Turbo kit = Full-Race T3/T67 kit. 3" DP by Zerolift, Full 3" exhaust. Precision 650whp intercooler.
Tuning = Crome (I really need to retune pieces of it...)
NO BOOST CONTROLLER. 15psi spring. Boost creeps from about 15psi at 6000 to 17psi by about 7800, and maintains that boost level until redline with no further creep.
Again, this is the lowballing mustang dyno. Add 13-15% for hater-tech compatible dynojet numbers. (previously: 260mustang/301dynojet, 280/345, 201/229 to name a few dynoed on both types of dyno)
So far best time is 12.1 @ 127 on street tires I believe.

damn, still maxing max power at 10,000, tq is solid as hell too up there.
what kind of clutch is being run in this setup? i know some clutches like act can give issues shifting in the mid 8000rpm range and upward at the track

You could ask them Tial 44mm vband... I think the answer has a lot to do with how fast the motor is being spun and the size of the turbo on it (.82A/R T3 hotside) - not enough exhaust can flow through the turbo due to its (relatively) small size so the WG has to do overtime.

ACT XTSS got killed. I believe it has an ACT XT / 6puck now but might be 2MD.

Greddy Profec B mostly on the car, just need to call its owner, finish hooking it up and schedule more tuning. I wanna see him in the 11s on pump gas and street tires. Couple more psi...

Dave can you find out for sure what clutch he is running as Im looking into an ACT setup that will hold some decent poewr for a bit.

Regardless of what he's running, get an Action 2MD. It's been proven time and time again to take the abuse. (myself, 94whtgsr locally, Hybrid-hatch's 700whp car on here, ...)

It went out considerably higher on the dyno in order to figure that horsepower didn't drop till 10,600 RPM. The 10K redline was chosen due to me being chicken. It has a broad enough powerband as it is.

Looks really great. The only thing I don't get is why only sleeve to 81.5mm. 84mm would have picked up 10-20 ft lbs across the powerband and it would have been virtually free.

but if anything ever happened to the sleeves you have less room to play with when rebuilding.

man that head must flow well for a power drop at 10,600 , was there any special measures taken to make sure it will hold 10,000 rpm? like balancing and all that? I thought you had to shorten the stroke for that fast of rpm.

Im not gonna lie, I dont like your powerband, you make just a bit over 100 hp till vtec, then you dont make 300hp until 7500. Im sure you could trap higher than 127 with the same peak HP if you had a powerband that started before 6 grand. just a little constructive critism from.

84.5mm and 85mm. Thats two rebuilds. How many times should one plan on blowing up and rebuilding their engine?

Well i guess it all depends on how long you plan on staying the game.

did you miss the flat as a board torque curve from 6500 rpm's to 10k rpm's?

Thats good and all when launching at 7k on a drag strip, but it still doesnt have powerband for a street car. it makes no power until a grand after vtec. just going uphill alone must suck. this is currently the problem I am having. and right now if I could start over I would never get a turbo based on its peak hp potential for a street car.
