How much stronger is a b series trans than a d series?

I was wondering how much stronger a gsr tranny is compared to an ex tranny? GSR tranny's are around twice as much as an ex tranny so I was just curious. I really want to build a sohc since tranny's are cheap but not if they go way more than a gsr would at the same power. Synchros are pretty much the same right? Thanks.

People like to claim the d-series trannies are weaker, personally I think either one will go with out an LSD. It just happens the B-series box's have more lsds in them compared to the d -series. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/embeer.gif

Torque breaks driveline parts, something to consider.

If you are considering buying a sohc cam tranny, make sure you get the 96-00' trannies they use better internal materials that are stronger. Specifially the shifter forks are made of steel instead of aluminum with the 92-95' year trannies.

What about the a6 tranny? Did that have steel forks?
