how much psi till i need t bolt clamps?
right now i'm just running regular hose clamps, but i am in the process of an engine build and i'm pretty sure that i'm going to need to upgrade to t bolt clamps when running higher psi, and get some better couplers than the ones i have right now. curious how many psi till i need to upgrade?

not much those things dont hold much before they pop off. i would just get them now and be done with it.

I was running 15 on a T3/T4 .57 and the worm clamps held with no problems at all. I made a thread about this awhile ago or I posted or something, and one guy told me he was running 22psi I think. But I would say 22psi is rare to see on worm clamps though.

I think it has more to do with how well the piping transitions from section to section and what it likes to do when the motor torques over and releases when you come off the throttle really hard.
If the piping alignment is good and everything has relative movement, then you could probably run any reasonable amount of pressure and not run into problems with knocking piping off or popping charge pipes out of the coupler.
On a friend's SR20, we still used worm gear clamps on the couplers surrounding the intercooler and the motor regularly boosts to 19psi.

I fully agree with IN VTEC
It's all about the quality of your setup...If your not streching your piping and have flared or beaded ends why wouldn't worm clamps hold up?

Ive NEVER had a pipe come off on me yet. I use the cheap .025 cent clamps.
I bead weld my pipes when I make them and the angles are different from what people are used to , but they work very well.
