Hey everyone, stock b16a2 with cometic head gasket, arp headstuds, gsr cams and everything else bone stock. Throttle body and intake included. Gt3582 journal running on gate pressure 8psi spring through ramhorn. Any ideas how much power I値l be looking at? How many of you have ran over 300whp stock block and how long?

It depends on the rest of the setup. The wastegate outlet design, wastegate size and exhaust houseing.

I have a 84,5mm bore b16 with full-race ramhorn with a 90deg wastegate exit, ITR cams, some head work and a Golden eagle intakemanifold. A tial 46mm WG and a 1.06 AR exhaust housing on a gt35r. If I remove the wastegate spring I have boost creep to up to 20psi @9500 rpm. It starts building boost very late though. I make 525 @23psi. 590 @30 psi
I just got a 50mm turbosmart wastegate and will make a tear drop exit design for it and a.82 exhaust housing. I also ordered a new billet compressorwheel but I have waited over 10 months for it,, So donｴt know what I will do with that.. Pro 1 cams and convert to e85 a a new ecu and dyno tune is also on the list. Just have to renovate a house first..

If your end goal is around 300hp just use a smaller turbo. You would have faster spool up and less chance of boost creep, use something like a good quality t3/t4 which can work up to 400hp and is perfect for street use on these motors. Boosted boiz has everyone thinking they must use a gt35

I know that but next spring I知 putting in a fully built b18c (stock sleeves) and turning it up. I also have some other reasons as to why I went gt35 but yeah. I知 on a 38mm 2bolt tial

That TiAL 38mm isn't going to work with that GT35R very well, especially with such low boost pressure on a B16. You're better off changing that now and save yourself the headache. As for your "power level" at 8psi, you'll get 300whp, but you'll hate getting there. You won't get that thing to move until about 6000rpms. And that's the truth..

So, get the engine put together, and then use this turbo. Not before.

That is definitely a subjective opinion. In 20 years of doing this for turbo hondas, (13 years as an H-T member) you're absolutely the 1st to only make such a comment..

That was very important information that you left out, you will struggle to keep that turbo under control unless you get a quality manifold and wastegate
