how much power can a stock clutch hold
so i got a d16z6 turbo and i finally got it out on the road and i noticed the rpms are raising alot faster then the speed, now some people say it is a slipping clutch, but it is a new clutch and flywheel. can the pedal need adjustment? i noticed that the pedal angaged really soon and seems sloppy when it is almost depressed
fyi i am running 8 lbs

Re: how much power can a stock clutch hold (Btothe3rdDegree)
A stock clutch should be good till about 160-170 whp. I'm running 6 psi on a completely stock clutch with 150k on it and it holds up fine still. For now anyways.
So the clutch was fine right before boost?

It's gonaa hold about 300whp, but when shifting into the next gear it's probably burn your clutch. I recomend an aftermarket clutch (whether is be a "street disk" or six puck) over 200whp for convienence sake.
