how much power am im goin to lose when i connect my 2.25 exhaust and stock cat?
i am currently running open downpipe and the neighbors are complainning that in waking them up when i come home lol, now my parents are forcing me to connect back my exhuast system.
my magna flow exhaust system is 2.25 inch. So how much of a power lost do u think i will get when i connect back the magnaflow exhaust system and the stock cat?
(running open downpipe 230hp 210tq)
i researched and the margin is about 10-30hp. What do u guys think?

You will lose a bit. The stock cat is the real bottleneck, and you might as well spend $60 and get a Magnaflow cat.

that would be around $250 installed right? thats a bit out of my budget...(i just had my car impounded which costed me 500) so i dont really have that much money right now.

not as loud as no exhaust. This is what i run with a 2.25" exhaust and honestly it isn't bad at all.

im running a 2.25 with a gutted cat and when i run open dp its night a day difference.. we cant really tell you how much power you'll lose, but i can tell you that when i do run open dp to running my exhaust i think i lose at least 10-20 whp.. like i said, its night and day.. you're going to hate the 2.25 exhaust and my exhaust with the gutted cat isnt that loud so you'll be find with a test pipe..

Just some reference, I had a customer who had a 99 Si with a Drag 3 kit made 195whp, this was through stock cat and Greddy Exhaust, I told him I had a test pipe we could throw on there. Redynoed we made 236whp, he did gain 2 psi from that so I attribute 20-25whp(MAX) from the Boost Increase but the other 15 or so from just a non restrictive cat I give the gain from boost only 20-25 hp since it is just a small Turbonetics T3/T04B Super V Trim turbo soooooooooooo

When I switched from my stock exhaust to a 3" it made a HUGE difference, and my boost maxed at 10 instead of 7 (I had a 7psi spring), but I bet the 2.25 would be fine, especially without the cat. My guess in power difference between the open DP and the exhaust would be like 15-20hp, but the big factor is how much slower the turbo will spool up, as soon as you get the exhaust on you will want to take it right back off, I guarantee

HEHE! I used to feel the same way you did when I was 18 Years old, I had 2 12" Subwoofers and BIG AMP and would boom like crazy at like 3-5 AM after getting bootie calls back then! I had no care for anyone and wondered why people even bitched about it being loud back then. Now being old(32 years old) I bought my first house in 1999 at age 26 and then and now I know why they bitched. Once you own yoru own home and you get older hearing someone boomin or someone screeching tires in teh neighborhood is annoying and uncalled for. I have a 10 year old too sooooooooooooooooo. Hey remember that old saying "If it's too loud you're too old!"? I guess it is true hehe! My rant is over, I know some of you younger cats will learn when you get older , DAMN Y0 all I want is some peace and quiet heheehehheehheheehe
