Around where i live there are more and more cops showing up everywhere and they all seem to have it out for anyone with exhaust. I drive my car once or twice a week and almost every time a cop at leasts follows me around for no reason or pulls me over for "loud muffler." I have no cat and 3" custom bent piping from the downpipe back to a dynomax ultraflo 3" muffler and it is LOUD. I Know that the apexi WS exhaust cat back is prob the quitest one out there so im pretty much forced to get it to get these cops off my back. I was just wondering how much hp i would acually lost by doing it. Thats a whole lot more back pressure i would imagine so i know its gonna hurt a decent amount. Do you all think i should try somethin else to keep my car quiter or will that not do too much damage? I just dont want to lose a ton of power. Let me know what exhaust you alll have with your turbo setups if they are quit too, thanks! later

I would imagine on average about 20, that might be a little high, depends on how much boost also.

You could also get a high flow cat and/or resonator, and that will quiet it down a lot.

JUst to let you know i have a Apex WS exhaust with a custom test pipe. Well i have the jdm header with 3" collector to the test pipe which is 3" and then matches the Apex piping. I still get pulled over by cops..I actually got pulled over 2 times in the past month fort "illegal exhaust." Which has sucked casue i have an expired DL.My car in my opinion is pretty quiet even with the test pie, well atleast compared to those ricers. So just telling you cause u said u have Turbo so im sure its gonna be way louder than mine.And just depending on how strict the 5.0. around your area is...its pretty bad in my hood..(Fairfax County , VA.)
And yea, i would say you would loose a good amount of power....but not enough to sacrifice loosing your liscence!

Why don't you try an high flow 3" cat and a resonator?

Viren (b18bturbo) @ VS Racing had some real nice stainless ones a few months back. That's where I got mine. I still can't get over how good my exhaust sounds, and its been couple of months.
