How much HP can stock LS sleeves support?
How much HP could a nonsleeved LS block (no blockguard) support with an 8,000 RPM redline? my goal is about 300 HP at the wheels, and i don't know if the block really needs to be resleeved or if i can run that much HP on the stock ones...

you could do it with some great tuning and forged internals. I woud be weary of uping the redline 1200 rpms without doing some work though.

I wanna try the same thing too. I have Egale rods. Now I just need pistions. I would thing that 15 psi with a 54 trim compressor should put me close to 300 whp right? I mean Jason (st00pid) get close to 300 whp on stock ls bottem ends. He just uses block gaurds. Now to attain 300 whp The head + intake manifold should be upgraded. Let the head breath better + upgrade the valves.

You can easily get over 300whp on a non-sleeved stock block. I have JE's, Eagle rods, and a JG blockguard and I'm near 385whp. It hasn't been dynoed yet, but my tuner/builder built several dyno tested motors to the exact same spec as mine.
EDIT: I didn't see the "no blockguard" part. But still, a blockguard doesn't even run close to the holding power of a sleeved block. I mean, if you're in there, you might as well throw a $100 guard in there. Anywho, tuning is key. With good tuning, you can get up to 20psi.....with bad tuning, you can't even run 4psi well.

i would think twice before running 20psi on a stock sleeved block. Sure you MAY be able to pull it off, but I doubt it will last. 300whp is attainable on stock sleeves, but you will have to rebuild your motor (pistons, rods, etc.)
While the motor is apart you may as well replace the oil pump and the water pump, and the tiing belt. Plus you'll need new bearings and gaskets. DO you see where I am going? All that adds up. You may as well get the sleeves and then (hopefully) only rebuild the motor once.

Re: How much HP can stock LS sleeves support?
well, let me elaborate a little more on what my setup will be:
B16 head, manifold, etc...
B16 tranny
Eagle rods, Wiseco pistons
stock bore
new bearings, new oil pump, new water pump, gaskets, micropolished crank
Hondata 2b
the block will basically be reworked and like new, built internals...only the head and sleeves would be stock...also will be tuned... would 300 FWHP be ok with that setup? and if so, what would prolly be the maximum safest HP i could push?

Yes, with that setup, you can easily get over 300whp. Just make sure it's tuned well and everything will be peachy.

The stock LS block can handle up to 400 hp maybe even more. RPM is not the problem, because RPM kills rods and broken rods kills motors. the block can handle the horsepower but if you get detonation, nothing is going to keep that block alive. so alot of people believe hp kills blocks, enough hp wil, but your biggest enemy is detonation or poor tuning. I think that 92 octane can be tuned to the max of about 350 before detonation occurs, but safely to 300. Make sure your tuner is good.

Sup d00d. Might wanna add these items to your build list.
GS-R/ITR or z-10 Block gridle
ARP rod bolts
I plan on taking my LS up to the 8K range, as soon as my cams get in here.

well, the Eagle rods I'm getting already come with ARP rod bolts...also, i was considering the girdle (GS-R), but haven't really heard any absolutely convincing stories that it's needed...afterall, alot of guys have been pushing high HP levels with these blocks before girdling it even became popular...
