How much do you think is a fair price to charge for the following install?
Today and tomorrow my friend and I will be installing a turbo kit on someone’s car. Here is a list of what needs to be done and the set up.
Car 1995 Civic coupe totally stock except for exhaust and springs.
Stock d16 motor.
Take off all the stock junk. IE air box, air conditioning(lines, condenser, wires and so on), cruise control, bumper, all underneath plastic and so on.
Install a pieced together turbo setup not a kit. All ic pipes have to be cut and welded and pieced together.
Manifold flange was to big had to grind it down to fit
Down pipe needs to be made from scratch with only a flange and piping.
Turbo needs to be clocked and all fittings put in but to do this hot and cold side need to come off. Turbo has oil lines and water lines.
Cut lower motor mount bracket so that the turbo with internal waste will fit
BOV flange welded.
Oil pan taken off and fitting installed for the drain on the turbo
IC mounted, and bumper cut to fit.
Install Injectors, and resistor pack
Take off tranny and install new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate.
Install 3 gauges, egt, oil pressure, and boost and also install pillar pod.
Install turbo timer
Install energy suspension shifter inserts.
I am sure there is some more but I am beat but that is the most of it.
Originally the owner thought we could get this done in one day but I am glad we started today so we still have tomorrow to get this done.
What do you guys think is the going rate for to charge for all of this work?
Here are the three threads I found when I searched.

Any input from people who do this daily or have paid a shop for similiar work would be appreciated.

man, that is a lot of stuff yall have to do. I would say anywhere from $500-$1000 is fair, if he was to pay someone to install his clutch while it is still on the car, that person would charge 100-300. Making intercooler piping from scratch, performance shop would charge like 250-300. Since yall got 2 people to do it, yall can split up the work and split the money

this is assuming everything goes as planned and no problems with everything, coz if something is wrong, u might not even finish it in one day
but if you have 2 ppl, it might be better
good luck

I would charge 800-1300 depending on how hard certian areas ended up being. One of the local places charges 900 for a premade turbo kit install so I think that would be more than fair as long as your work is of high quality and you dont mind working the bugs out for free. Who's tuning it?

Re: How much do you think is a fair price to charge for the following install? (underpressure02)
Well as day two comes to an end, still not complete.
Today most of the day was spent cutting and tig welding all the dam piping for the IC. Then the flange with the pipe that came off the turbo was aluminum and we did not have any aluminuum bends or pipe so we had to take that flange off and trace it on some plate steel and cut that out, drill the holes and then weld the tube onto it. Also the BOV flange was welded on and mounted.
Mounted the IC, GE vacuum manifold ran some vacuum lines.
Went to install the DSM 450 injectors and had to dremel out each gasket/o-ring so they would fit, then also needed to dremel out the little nipple in each injector so that the clips would go on. Also installed the resistor box.
I am sure there is a lot of other crap I missed but I am beat tired.

The price was already determined before I posted this. But it seemed like he was not happy with the price and thought it was to much. After seeing what some of the responces were I think he got the deal of a lifetime.
It is not just a simple dragIII kit install it was taking a totally stock car and turning installing just about everything.
