I want to know how much you guys spent, all materials, every component, including install cost on turbo's, clutches, tranny stuff, plug wires, guages, LSD, Oil COolers, EVERYTHING!!
I'm getting it done now and.. it's getting up there in $$$. I'm just making sure that I didn't go TOO far, and get TOO much.

If I would have known, I would have taken that 2nd job 4 months ago.. But NOOOOOooo, I just had to play my Xbox, and My gamecube, and my PS2, and get monster cables, and games, and surround sound, and a whole new gaming cabinet. MAN!!!! DOH!!
Would have bought the games anyway though. You can't take them away from me!

About $7k when you add in all the little things from the Acura dealer, miscellaneous gaskets and crap.

How about $7500 and the turbo isn't even on the car yet. So I figure another $1300-$1500 for install and tuning.

I"m at around 6K without tunning/install(probably install myself) and I'm still missing some things I'd like to add, such as oil cooler, radiator, LSD, etc....

Hmm..
$1200 for the kit
$500 on installation
$300 for the injectors
$130 for the pump
$80 for the timer
$250 for the V-AFC
$400 for the AVC-R
$320 for the ACT
$600 for the exahust
$100 on an MSD 6A
$20 on 10 plugs
$30 on misc nuts/bolts/couplers
$55 on a POS A/F gauge
$40 on a used boost gauge
$1007 on a Hondata 2B yet to be installed
$120 on a GReddy EGT gauge kit
I think that's it for now? That about $5150 so far..

I hit $5000 about a month ago and since then I have stopped counting! It is never-ending!

Re: How much did you guys spend on your Turbo setup? I mean EVERYTHING!! (Snafu-Si)
drag 3 kit w/tial $3Gs even
ACT clutch $300 even
used boost & EGT gauges $200 even
odd pattern here, but so that's my turbo setup - $3500
if you count the swap - thats another $1500
so right at $5000 for a car that's puts a smile on my face every day of the week without a single day of downtime since putting the turbo on - who said turbo hondas aren't reliable?

I'm beginning to learn that... the hard way....
At least now you really know.
Me, so far...hmmm, considering I do the installs with a friend, so no install costs, and not factoring in the cost of food, drinks and medication during the process and the fact I get some parts at cost... I'm over $7000 easy including all the little gaskets and trips to Discount.
I STILL need to buy: fuel pump, fuel rail, new exhaust, a couple other gauges, injectors, new ECU, Hondata, etc, etc... still need to tune on a dyno.
Guy... it never ends... When I'm 45, this beast will be in my garage as a masterpiece. I MIGHT let my son take it to his H.S prom if his date is a major hottie and they still allow gasoline powered cars on the street.
I should top out around $10K.... let's not get into any other mod... please, I feel faint.
**X2, poster boy for why you shouldn't go turbo w/o a job **

Re: How much did you guys spend on your Turbo setup? I mean EVERYTHING!! (Snafu-Si)
Wow! Some of you guys spent quite a grip! But then again, my car is still fairly slow Here's my breakdown...
Greddy D16 kit w/blow-off valve and flange $1600
Boost gauge and A/F gauge along with cluster bezel $140
Misc (spark plugs, loctite, JB Weld etc) $60
Welding BOV flange onto kit $40
Eclipse intercooler $40
91 Octane fuel in Cali PRICELESS
TOTAL: Less then $1900 for a reliable, intercooled turbo.
Still running stock clutch after 6 months and at 7psi. I'm happy with it.
