How much boost can my stock D16Y8 run with before anything breaks or blows? I wanna run at least 10-14psi, what do you guys suggest me upgrade in my engines besides headstuds?I was lookin at some low compression 8.5:1 Vitara Pistons and Rings. Would that get the job done or should I aswell get some performance Rods?

its not how much boost can my block handle its how much power it can. Boost is just a number really, take a t66 run 10psi through it and and then take a t25 and run 10 psi your power numbers are going to be completly different.. so how much power can your stock Y8 handle, its about 200 230, 230 being on a great tune, and how long ya want it to last.. if ya want more than that youa re going to have to put some stonger internals, the vitara option is a good one, ive seen many people make good numbers with the vitaras. Right now im at 200 hp and 183 ftlbs with my stock z6 at 170,000 on it.

Wow, very nice numbers for a stock z6, is that v-tec? What are you tuning with and what OBD?I have an OBD2 on my Y8 do you recommend be do any mods to that?

yeah this is the vtec, im tuned with crome and OBD1, for oyu i would say convert to obd1 use crome, uberdata, ectune, which ever, and have fun.
