Just curious as to how many of you guys are running a B20VTEC Turbo with forged pistons and rods on the stock sleeves with more then 14 PSI?

I think Incognito runs that much boost on his LS/VTEC with stock sleeves.

stock b20v with stock block........

can do 400whp reliable.......
but i would keep it under 30psi

boost pressure isnt the issue on the stock sleeves, its rpm, balance, and side loading that cause the sleeves to crack, make sure your engine is balanced well, use a main girdle for stability, and dont rev excessively high (b20's were rated to about 6500 rpm from the factory, i would not exceed 1000 more rpm then what they were rated on a monosleeve) and make sure your tuned where you arent knocking

very well put. a block guard might not be a bad idea if your running stock sleeves.....

blockguardas are pointless, the sleeves will crack if not tuned properly and not balanced rotating assembly with or without one. The issue with the b20 block is the thin sleeve between the cylinders

Yall are all wrong, the only downside to b20 sleeves are the fact they are pron to low rpm/ high load knock. Tuning destroys sleeves. Do alittle search, plenty of people spin b20 bottem ends with rod bolts to 10k...plenty of people boost a daily driven car with 10-15 psi.. its always in the tuning when it comes to a b20..

Side wall angle problems would come into effect but who runs 92mm strokes on a b20vtec turbo motor thats daily driven, let alone on stock sleeves.
